In what started as an evenly-matched game, the Wests team was able to capitalise on turnovers and any errors by The Castle to build their winning margin over the game.
The win sets up an important clash next week against third-placed Royal Federal Hotel who came back to the chasing pack after a big loss to Hills Solicitors.
Hills came back obviously refreshed from the two-week break to defeat Royal Federal 65-22.
There is now a three-way battle for the final two spots in the finals, with LJ Hooker beating The Bradford 46-21.
Royal Federal, Darren O’Brien and LJ Hooker are separated by just a point or two on the ladder.
The George had the bye, but the are sitting in the top two with Hills Solicitors and on track to fight out the competition again.
The two grand final teams from last year meet each other in round 11 on July 30.
